Areas Of Operation

Wanjohi Mutonyi Consult Ltd. have over the years offered services of Transport Engineering in East, Central and Southern Africa delivering various projects to the satisfaction of the Client . The Firm offers complete and comprehensive consultancy services in roads ranging from planning, feasibility studies through preliminary and detailed design, Environmental Impact Assessment Studies and supervision of construction to defects liability maintenance of completed projects.

The projects undertaken range from minor access roads of short lengths, mostly as infrastructural services for urban development schemes or a building, to major rural and urban highways with complex interchanges.

Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Engineering form an integral part of our practice. Over the years, the firm has designed numerous water supply and Irrigation schemes in East & Central Africa where the need for clean potable water has been a priority. Such projects have varied in diversity from those involving extensive hydrological and hydrogeological studies to those requiring only reticulation pipework in site and service housing schemes.

WMCL ensures effective collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater and solid waste.

Wanjohi Mutonyi Consult Ltd maintains a department that provides professional services in the design and supervision of construction for building, housing, structures and related developments. Industries, warehouses, hospitals, churches, schools and colleges are classified in this department. Services on infrastructure services including access roads, footpaths, water reticulation and sewerage collection and disposal systems are also carried out here.

Over the years, the firm has carried out design and supervision of construction of these facilities for numerous public, private and quasi-governmental organisation clients.

Wanjohi Mutonyi Consult Ltd. maintains a fully-fledged environmental management department with capacity for conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments. We incorporate cross cutting issues such as gender, alleviation of poverty, HIV/AIDS, food security and conservation of traditional resource management innovations in all our projects.

We are registered with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) as a ‘Firm of Experts’ under the Government of Kenya’s Environmental Management and Coordination Act Cap 387.
