Wanjohi Mutonyi Consult Ltd (WMCL) formerly known as Wanjohi Consulting Engineers, is a Kenyan consulting firm incorporated in May 1978 in Nairobi to provide professional civil engineering and related services. In the early days of the practice, the firm was based at the junction of Muranga Road
and Moi Avenue within the Nairobi city centre. Later the firm acquired and moved to its own premises at the junction of Ngong and Ndemi Roads in the sub-urban area of Adams Arcade.
Since its inception, the firm’s main objective has been to provide its clients with first rate professional services in a diverse range of civil engineering fields. With this in mind, we have carried out various assignments, small and large, with enthusiasm and dedication. Today, Wanjohi Mutonyi Consult Ltd is one of the leading engineering consulting firms in Kenya and indeed in
East and Central Africa. We have expanded and incorporated branch firms in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and Swaziland. We hve also set-up on temporary basis project offices in Tanzania and Malawi.

OUR STAFF
WMCL has over the years retained a team of personnel with relevant experience in various professional disciplines. It has a high capacity to undertake large and complex assignments This team together with an equally competent team of technical, administrative and support cadre, form a strength which fluctuate around 100 persons to reflect the workload at hand.
Most of the engineers hold both Bachelors and Masters degrees from local and foreign universities. Other qualifications include membership of professional engineering institutions in Kenya and abroad. Additionally they are registered by the Engineers’ Board of Kenya and other respective engineering boards.
MODERN TECHNOLOGY
The use of advanced computer technology with state-of-the-art design packages is foremost in enabling the firm to offer excellent modern services to its clients. There is also a well equipped soil laboratory where a comprehensive range of road construction materials investigations and testing is carried out.
The quality processes, which have been developed since the firm’s establishment in 1978, have been formalized by certification to international quality standards. Thus, WMCL has been certified to Quality Management System (QMS) as well as the ISO-9001 Environment Management System (EMS) in 1999 and 2004 respectively.
